Text Banking is great for people with mobile phone text plans.
Text Banking is free from The Bank of Marion but fees may apply from your mobile service provider.
Because text messages are limited to 160 characters, the response from this command may be delivered in multiple text messages depending upon the number of accounts you have and your account balances.
Once you have enrolled in Mobile Banking, you will receive a text message with a hyperlink (URL) that has a set of digits that are unique to you. When you click on this link you will be able to access your accounts. You will need to enter your User ID and the PIN number you selected when you enrolled.
The six digit set of numbers leading the text message is the “Short Code.” You will send and receive messages to/from this code.

- Balance (use nickname for account)
With any of these commands, you will receive the balance on every account you have on your Online Banking profile.
It is best if you nickname your accounts to have a unique identifier. If you don't, the system will default to a generic name such as "checking" and "savings".
If you have more than one checking account and don't nickname them, you will receive the balance of the first one in your account listing if you text Bal Checking.
Request account details on an account such as the account nickname, balance, type, etc. This requires a nickname for your account(s) so you can specify which account you want to see. (For example,. Details Primary Checking)
This returns the last 4 transactions on an account including memo transactions if there are any. Example: statement my account
This command transfers funds between your accounts.
Example: transfer 10 from my account to my nicknamed account.
- HELP BALANCE
This is the help menu. It is best done by sending it with another option.
(e.g. HELP BAL, HELP XFER, etc)
This command opts you out of Mobile Banking.
