Too many young students in our area are going go back to school without necessary school supplies. Some families have to choose between school supplies and groceries. That's just not right.

Many school teachers buy these items for their students out of their own pockets, but they can’t solve this problem alone. But, together we can! The Bank of Marion and all of our Hometown Community Branch Banks are collection points for Cool Tools 4 Back to School. You can purchase needed items and drop them in our collection boxes. There’s one at every Bank of Marion branch.

Here’s what’s needed:

Greatest Need:
• Hand Sanitizer
• Anti Bacterial Liquid Soap
• Disinfectant Wipes
• Antibacterial Spray Disinfectant
• Facial Tissue
• Gallon Size and Sandwich Size Baggies

These items fight the war on those nasty cold and flu bugs that keep so many kids out of school every year!

Regular School Supplies:
• #2 Pencils
• Glue Sticks
• Spiral Notebooks; 1 or 3 Subject
• Loose Leaf Paper
• Crayons; 8 or 24 pack
• “Marble” Composition Books
• Backpacks (No Wheels)
• Other supplies

ALL COOL TOOLS FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF OUR BRANCH BANKS WHERE THE SUPPLIES ARE DONATED.

Our school supplies drive runs through August 31, 2017. However, our BIG drop-off day is Friday, August 4!
